TEMPLE OF TEETH

Editor's Note

What follows is a reconstruction compiled from three sources: the recovered footage from a Sony FX6 camera found in a waterproof case on the Raimangal River on November 18th, 2023; the written field journal of documentary producer Lata Bose, recovered from a Gosaba medical facility; and the recorded debriefs of the two crew members who came out of the Sundarbans under their own power.

One crew member did not come out.

The Sundarbans Forest Department conducted a search operation between November 19th and November 24th, 2023. The search was called off on the 24th due to tidal conditions and deteriorating weather. The search area designated in the original mandate did not include the coordinates provided by the surviving crew, because no structure appears at those coordinates on any available satellite image, survey map, or Forest Department record.

This reconstruction has been prepared at the request of the missing crew member's family.

The names have not been changed.

The coordinates have been omitted at the request of the Forest Department.
